The Indonesian Corporate Counsel Association (ICCA), was founded on 30 April 2004. The main objective of the establishment of the ICCA is to increase awareness of the role of the in-house legal counsel within the business and legal communities in Indonesia. This awareness, of course, can only be achieved through increased communication within the in-house community itself, and so the association aims to provide a forum in which members can share information, best practices, up-to-date legal knowledge, and resources that will enrich the professional ability and the knowledge of the in-house counsel.

ICCA focuses on two main programs. The first is to provide opportunities for continual learning and maintaining and upgrading the skills of its members. The association hopes to achieve this through a series of seminars delivered by senior in-house lawyers from the ICCA itself, as well as respected external legal counsel. Secondly, it also will also establish and enhance networking between its members both socially and through electronic means.
